I get starry-eyed when I think of Olympos. Greenery, calm seas, a mountain backdrop... At 80km from Antalya, the site is unusual thanks to its human scale. I spent several days in a lovely wood-built bungalow and I highly recommend you opt for these cheap, clean holiday lets. The more courageous amongst you can hire a treehouse for the night. I loved wandering around the ruins of the ancient city. Plantlife has sprung up through the foundations and it feels a bit like a jungle. But what impressed me most about Olympos was the colour of its blue sea. It's a sea turtle paradise...or indeed any mammal! During your time in Olympos, I recommend you explore the surrounding hills. At dawn the light is incredible and you'll even see people doing yoga. Do you fancy a break from it all during your holiday in Turkey? Olympos is the perfect place to recharge your batteries.

Olympos is situated on the Mediterranean coast. The city was conquered by the Romans, Venetians and Genoese, all of whom left their mark. But it's the landscape and sea that makes the place so worthwhile.
