Safranbolu is a small Ottoman village which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. You really must go there during a <a href="/turkey/">trip to Turkey</a>. And that was basically the reason why I went there. Once there I was definitely not disappointed. Each of the village houses is more charming than the next, and they are all in different architectural styles, although they make a very harmonious whole.
