When to go to Poland?

From May to June and September/October.

Mid-season is the best time to visit Poland. The weather's ideal - neither too hot nor too cold. There's loads to do: forest hikes, swimming in lakes, kayaking, sailing, cultural activities etc.

July and August.

Summer is Poland's high season. Beaches are full to the brim, as the sea's warm and sunshine abounds. Apart from lazing on the sands, you can enjoy a range of water sports or outdoor activities across the country.

From December to February

It can get freezing cold during winter in Poland. But if you wrap up well, you'll still be able to enjoy its countryside, museums and beautiful towns. What's more, spending Christmas in Poland is amazing as the country throws itself into the Yuletide spirit. 

All year round.

A tour of Warsaw, with its Royal Route and Lazienski Park is a must. You can also take a horse-drawn carriage ride around Krakow's famous monuments. You can visit any time of year and winter's particularly fun, as the country's towns get into festive mode! You'll be blown away by the historic centres of Wroclaw and Gniezno. Make sure you take a trip to the archaeological site of Biskupin and the fortified castle of Malbork.

From May to October

Poland is one of the best destinations for hiking fans. Explore the Stołowe Mountains National Park or hike across the Slowinski National Park's dunes. As for water sports, you can go rafting along the Dunjec Gorges or enjoy a spot of kayaking in the Mazurie Lake District. And that's not all - how about tobogganing in the subterranean salt mine of Bochnia?! May to October is the best time to enjoy Poland's outdoor activities.

From May to October

Poland is home to numerous forests. You'll spot wild boar and birds alongside wolves and foxes! Poland's wonderful hiking trails will take you through oak, pine and birch forests. And head to the lakes if you want to spot ducks and swans! May to October is the best time for discovering the local wildlife. The landscape's equally stunning whether you're there during summer or autumn.

From May to October.

The Mazurie Lake District is a must during a trip to Poland. Linked by a series of canals, they're great for kayaking or sailing holidays. You can hop on a barge and explore the region before heading to Gizycko and Mikolajki, the region's largest urban centres. May to October is the best time to tour this region, as the weather is fine.

During January, April, August, October and December

If there's one thing you can say about Poland, it's the way the locals celebrate religious holidays. Religious fetes and festivals are held throughout the year. Christmas and Easter are big events in Poland, but you only need to stop by a church during the Sunday service to appreciate the importance of religion in the country. As for festivals, the Old Krakow Music Festival, held every August, is a cultural highlight. Warsaw hosts a variety of events - numerous concerts during October and the Warsaw Theatre Meetings in January are ones for the diary!
