Far from Peruvian touristy islands, such as Taquile, Amantani or Uros, Suasi Island is an exclusive spot right in the heart of Lake Titicaca. This private island is reached by boat from Puno.
Upon arrival, we are warmly welcomed by Marta, the owner of the site. We're warned that there's practically no electricity on the island, which draws its energy from solar panels. This information barely matters to us as we have come to Suasi Island for a romantic weekend far away from everything. We spent two amazing days between canoe trips, massages, campfires, small homemade dishes and romantic sunsets over the lake. 
Suasi Island is a beautiful place to enjoy magical moments with your other half in a place in the middle of nowhere.
