Nestled in a gorge at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, Setti Fatma attracts tourists during their holidays in Morocco. At the start of March, it is a pretty village in bloom, what with its almond trees and cherry trees. In summer, I advise you to go and have lunch in Setti Fatma to cool down from the heatwave in Marrakesh. If you prefer waterfalls, visit the seven waterfalls: a natural swimming pool of sparkling water in a landscape that is still untouched. Accessing the first waterfall is easy, but be careful of the fallen rocks on the path to the others. This would not frighten even the most fearful Marrakesh locals, however. When the crowds become too large, I recommend that you take refuge from them in the Zat Valley: a lesser-known and untouched valley. I really enjoyed my little tour on the back of a mule through gardens dug into the cliffs—all with a warm welcome from the locals.
