A very beautiful town about 200 km south of Mexico City, well known for its gastronomy, especially the famous Mole (a sauce made with spices and chocolate which is very typical of Mexico).
My suggestion
You should go and eat in the popular local market of Xonata at least once. Whether you eat a full meal or cemitas (local Pueblan sandwiches to die for!), you will love it!

Puebla is probably the most beautiful town in Mexico, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Like a jewel in its setting, it's worth coming to see.
My suggestion
In November every year there is a big international festival in Puebla. An unmissable stop in the country.

It has a baroque town center and is the shrine of Mexican gastronomy.
My suggestion
When you are in Puebla there are two dishes you should taste: chiles en nogada (peppers in walnut sauce), and mole poblano (chicken with a sauce that's a mix of spices, coffee, chocolate, chilies, and more than 20 other ingredients).
The north and south are two different worlds, not only in terms of their landscape but also their economic structures. On this one strip of land fierce industrialization contrasts with a laid back tourist lifestyle.
