The national park is divided into two sections. The Analamazaotra Special Reserve (sometimes called "Périnet") covers around 3 square miles. Périnet consists of a secondary forest of pine and eucalyptus trees. If you want to be sure to see the indri indri, the largest lemur in the world, during your <a href="/madagascar/">stay in Madagascar</a>, this is the place to do it! The other part of the reserve covers around 60 square miles. You can go take a tour on the side of the reserve where the Association Mitsinjo is located, an organisation working for biodiversity. It's good to take the time to discover the richness of the primary forest in Mantadia Park. The waterfalls are gorgeous, and they sometimes have natural pools. You will find more than a hundred species of the rarest birds, around fifty different boas and also the island's largest chameleon!
