If we have loved the Island of Gods, the pearl of Indonesia, which has had such great tourist success for many years now, we can't deny that it is suffering for its fame. The environment is deteriorating year by year, mainly due to the plague of plastic which is everywhere and which the government does nothing about. Rubbish is not treated and the plastic remains.

After a hectic day spent <a href="/indonesia/"> discovering Bali </a>, I dreamt of only one thing, relaxing. So we left for Jimbaran before sunset. Once a jam-packed car park arrived at, it was hard to decide what warung would make us happy. After 20 minutes spent discussing and studying menus, we realise that they are all very similar. We were warmly received and enjoyed an arak madu aperitif facing a multi-coloured sky. For dinner, we went to select our fish and seafood: marinated in pepper or again grilled over a fire of coconut husks. It was a divinely sweet and savoury evening.

I decided to go to Jimbaran to end my stay in Bali. As it's not very far from the airport you can relax, knowing you don't have much to do to bring your stay to an end. Jimbaran doesn't have many waves, so it's a place that is preferred by people <a href="https://www.evaneos.fr/ou-partir/idee-voyage-en-famille/">travelling with their families,</a> rather than hardened surfers. The beach is big and the sand, although not particularly white, is very fine. The wonderful reddish colours of sunset make it the best time to be there, something which I enjoyed while sipping a drink in one of the many restaurants along the edge of the beach. Unfortunately, as I'm not very fond of sea food, the food wasn't really my cup of tea. So I found a little restaurant at the end of the beach which sold very good pizzas and went to eat there in the evening.

Jimbaran is a seaside town  south of Kuta, with a very big beach. There are lots of restaurants there that specialise in sea food.
