Argentina is a huge country, so the climate varies from region to region. To the northeast, the climate is sub-tropical, whilst the central region is humid and the south the coldest. The best time to visit the country is between March and April and October/November; it's best to avoid the glacial cold that can affect the south, the heatwaves that hit the north and the rainy season. The lovely Buenos Aires is best visited during the Argentinian Spring, which is during the European Autumn, as the weather is pleasant. What documents do you need to travel to Argentina?
As a UK citizen you don't need a visa to enter Argentina as a tourist unless you’re travelling on an Emergency Travel Document. On presentation of a valid British passport you will normally be granted a 90-day stay in the country. Your passport should be valid for the proposed duration of your stay. No additional period of validity beyond this is required to travel in Argentina..
The Argentinian authorities have confirmed they will accept British passports extended by 12 months by British Embassies and Consulates under additional measures put in place in mid-2014.
Health advise
Although the public health system in Argentina is better than in neighbouring countries, private health insurance is advisable.
